At Spateston ELC we don’t just value education we value community. We understand that strong, positive role models play a huge part in shaping the lives of our children, and we believe that learning is at its best when it’s shared. As our group of young bakers continues to grow (and so does the list of sweet treats they’re whipping up!), we’ve been looking for ways to build on their enthusiasm. That’s when we reached out to our friends at Johnstone High School. Johnstone High kindly welcomed us into their Cake Production Class, giving our children the chance to bake alongside older pupils, learn new skills, and get inspired by the amazing work going on in the high school kitchen. It’s been more than just a baking session it’s been an experience of teamwork, mentorship, and pure creative fun. We’re so proud of our budding bakers and so grateful to Johnstone High School for opening their doors (and ovens) to us. This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a deliciously long-lasting partnership. Watch this space for more community collaborations and maybe even a few secret recipes!
